SPRING REPORT
Coming into the spring of 2012, the property committee has continued the repair and maintenance of the buildings and grounds at Harcourt. The solar array, installed last year, is performing well. In fact we are on track to possibly exceed the originally estimated annual production target.
The unusual wear of the Butler Roof on the gymnasium will be touched up in May by the same firm that completed the repainting of the Sanctuary soffit and fascia this past fall.
The property committee has acted on some of the Narthex subcommittee’s ideas for making the area more welcoming. Bulletin boards, tables, pictures and chairs have been rearranged to add a greater level of comfort to the area. More work will be completed in this section of the church.
In conjunction with the Accessibility Committee, Property has completed the new signage throughout the church.
Minor renovation was completed in the ‘Royal City Pre-School’ area of the church. A number of older electric heaters were upgraded. This improves the safety of the toddlers using this area and will improve the efficiency of the electrical usage.
The annual spring clean up is scheduled for Saturday May 5th and starts at 9:00 a.m. This year’s activities will also include the garden committee and the community garden committee. Everyone is welcome.
