The current members of the Committee are Donna and Murray Brox, Susan and Grant Chenoweth, Marilyn and Steve Fraser and John Phelps.
The F & C Committee has an assigned responsibility for:
- The Name Tag program
- Scheduling Sunday Greeters for the 10:30 service
- Arranging the Hosts for Coffee Time following the 10:30 service
- Hot Cross Buns during coffee time on Easter Sunday
- Overseeing publication and collation of the Harcourt Herald
- Coordinating the Annual Turkey Dinner
- New Member Welcoming Socials
- Games’ Night
- Guess Who’s Coming To Lunch – GWCTL [added in 2010 ]
Terry McDonald, as the Editor of the Harcourt Herald, has done a great job publishing the Herald as well as adding a few new looks and an extra summer holiday issue for July and August.
Something new in 2010 was the organizing of the GWCTL social event. There were couples who participated as Luncheon hosts and others that participated as guests. Held on two Sunday afternoons during November and planned such that the hosts did not know who their guests were and the guests were unaware of whom their hosts were until they arrived for lunch. It was a great opportunity for those participating to meet other members of the Harcourt family that they may not otherwise know. Thanks to all who were involved. We’ll do it again soon.
None of these Harcourt happenings would be possible and as successful without the volunteers who provide food for potlucks when called upon, step forward to make coffee on Sundays and take the time to act as Greeters each week.
